Bio

Will Holshouser is a versatile accordionist and composer who is involved in a wide range of new and traditional music. He leads his own groups as well as working with top-flight artists in jazz, world music, and other spheres, including Regina Carter, David Krakauer, Suzanne Vega, NYC Ballet, Brooklyn Philharmonic, and many others. Will has performed in over 30 countries around the world and has recorded three CDs of his own music for the Portuguese label Clean Feed. He also has a collaborative group, Musette Explosion, that explores and expands on the French musette repertoire. He has composed music for film, theater and dance, and was interviewed about his work and the accordion on NPR’s Fresh Air. Will grew up in Cambridge, MA and began playing accordion in the late 1980s when a friend bought him a musty old squeezebox as a surprise. He lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife and daughter.
