Tom Monkell

Tom Monkell is a NYC based guitarist, composer, and arranger. Active on the NYC musical theatre circuit, Tom has played guitar for the Broadway productions of Wicked, The Book of Mormon, Matilda, Chicago, Dear Evan Hansen, Cats, and Come From Away, as well as numerous Off-Broadway productions, regional theatre productions, and workshops and presentations of new theatre works.

Having performed as a soloist, sideman, and ensemble member with acts ranging from songwriters to symphony orchestras, Tom offers musicianship that is the product of a background in many different types of music."

As a freelance guitarist and fretted string specialist (mandolin, banjo, etc.) Tom is well versed in a variety of musical styles, and is at home playing with groups ranging from singer/songwriters, jazz ensembles, rock bands, to classical chamber groups and orchestras.
