Bio
A veteran pianist, composer, musical director and conductor spanning nearly 30 years in the industry, Scott Mayfield has performed at the community, regional and repertory levels in musical theatre, and performed in many situations and as many genres. He was most recently pianist and arranger for the CT ensemble, Post Traumatic Jazz Disorder, and is also known in the techno and trance world as Crystal Fire, a recording artist on the Afterhours Sessions imprint, and has had tracks released in the UK. Scott has performed in venues across the country, and currently resides in Connecticut. He is also an arranger and a professional copyist.
Services Description
Scott is an active musical director, conductor and pianist in the New England theatre scene, with a production of "Into the Woods" at the Chestnut Street Playhouse, in Norwich, CT currently in rehearsal. He loves any and all musical situations: jazz, rock, progressive metal, musical theatre, electronica, blues. swing, pop, cabaret, 21st century classical, and ones he has not yet had opportunity to take part in. A few of the venues he has performed at include: Ivoryton Playhouse (Ivoryton, CT), The Butte Theatre (Cripple Creek, CO), The Willows Conservatory (Concord, CA), Elebash Hall (Brooklyn, NY), and Chestnut Street Playhouse (Norwich. CT.) He has written cabarets and/or arrangements for Carly Ozard, Lisa Foss, Christopher Faison (currently in "My Fair Lady"), and Carroll Mailhot, the latter of which he has penned three cabarets. His first musical is in final rewrite.
