Bio

Sandy Sahar Gooen (he/him) is an NYC based music and theatre artist. He is a multihyphenate, including but not limited to being a: conductor, orchestrator/arranger/copyist, songwriter/lyricist/playwright, musicologist/dramaturg, and performer (singing, acting, percussion, with a background of some cello, bass guitar, harmonica and piano). New member of 802. His orchestral conducting mentor was Jeffrey Milarsky (of Columbia/Juilliard/MSM) at Columbia University, where he received a Bachelor's in music. He also performed as a singer under Mati Lazar for several years in New York and in Israel with HaZamir: The International Jewish High School Choir. Sandy believes that music is the key to storytelling and communication, and vice versa.

Services Description

Currently, Mr. Gooen is looking in the NYC area to work in musical theatre spaces, primarily as a copyist/conductor/performer. He is also trained in classical and Jewish music. He is also available to be a tutor for theory and other music technique classes.
