Mary Lamont Band is a 5-piece band but we also work as quartet, trio, and duo.
We play upbeat original country and country-rock tunes plus traditional country and country-rock covers. This band is suitable for all ages: Mary goes over exceptionally well with everyone, from very small children to seniors. Even folks who don't like country come back for more -- Mary's energy level is infectious!
Thousands have seen Mary and her band performing multiple shows for many summers at the Jones Beach Boardwalk Bandshell, having just marked their 20th year at the venue. The band has graced the stage of the NYCB Theatre at Westbury (formerly Westbury Music Fair – opening for The Charlie Daniels Band, Delbert McClinton, Marshall Tucker Band), and headlined at the legendary IMAC Theater in Huntington (hosted by WFUV’s John Platt).
Other events include Resorts Casino, Jamaica (Queens) NY; Brookhaven National Lab’s Berkner Hall, Oysterfest in Oyster Bay, LI; Riverhead Country Fair; Chelsea Piers – NYC; Huntington Fall Festival; Westport’s Levitt Pavilion; Danbury City Center and many more!
Can New Yorkers play country music? Yes, especially if you're talking about Canadian-born singer-songwriter Mary Lamont and her musical partner Jim Marchese. On the self-produced "How Lucky," Mary Lamont presents a mix of songs inspired by the struggles and joys of her life. There's plenty of twang, teardrops, hope and heart to satisfy discriminating country fans.

The Mary Lamont Band really added to the excitement of our annual special event, Fleece Festival. They helped create a lively atmosphere worthy of a large venue, while developing a rapport with our community based audience. A real asset for organizations looking for a group that is professional, reliable, and willing to adapt to anything.
