Juliet Haffner, Musician's Contractor
Juliet has contracted musicians for motion pictures, recordings, live television and live events. Her work includes contracting for films by directors: Tim Robbins, Martin Scorsese, and David Mamet, among others. She has contracted string sections for live television including: Saturday Night Live for Neil Young, VH1 Divas Live for Mariah Carey, Letterman for the Goo Goo Dolls and Green Day and MTV Unplugged for Alanis Morrissette. Juliet also booked the musicians for soundtrack recordings for the films Runaway Bride and Armageddon. She was asked to play a violin/viola solo on Michael Jackson's HIStory record and also booked the musicians for Aerosmith's Nine Lives recording in addition to orchestras for Laura Nyro, Livingston Taylor and Ricky Martin.
Juliet contracted the strings, oboe & harp for "Eastwood After Hours" a live concert at Carnegie Hall with the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band. It was presented on PBS and recorded for CD & DVD. It features music from Clint Eastwood's films.
Most recently, Juliet contracted the strings for Elvis Costello's latest record "Look Now". She also contracted the band for Trisha Yearwood's performance "For the Last Time" for the TODAY show and Live with Kelly/Ryan, as well as a live performance at the Rainbow Room.
Working as a violist and violinist in New York, Juliet has access to New York's finest musicians who perform in every genre: classical, baroque, Latin, jazz, world/ethnic, and swing, among others. She can also book musicians for on-camera filming.
