Bio
Jessie Englander started playing instruments at age 8. She has been playing clarinet since she was 9 years old and participated in NYSSMA, SCHMEA and All State in high school. She also performed in well known venues like Tilles Center for the Performing Arts and Carnegie Hall and studied with well known clarinetist Naomi Drucker and performed with her husband Stanely Drucker of the NY Philharmonic.
She attended the Hartt School of Music and got her BM cum laude in clarinet performance where she studied with Ayako Oshima. She performed with the symphony band, wind ensemble, orchestra, chamber ensembles and many Hartt School musicals. She also began her freelance career performing for morning services at local churches.
After college she began her teaching career, working with students in studios and in home. She teaches clarinet, saxophone and flute students of all levels as well as recorder and piano. She also spent time performing for Jewish weddings and currently performs with West Islip Symphony Orchestra as principal clarinetist. She has performed many different genres including classical, klezmer, Celtic and more. She was heavily influenced by her grandfather who attended college for cello and played for the US Army.
Services Description
Currently accepting a wide variaty of performance work for clarinet, saxophone and flute. Also accepting new students for all variaties and levels of clarinet, saxophone and flute as well as beginner recorder and piano.
