Ivan “Funkboy” Bodley, bass player to the stars. Performed with 46 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees. Musical Director for Sam Moore, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, Shirelles, Crystals, Tokens. Performed with: Sting, Elvis Costello, Temptations, Solomon Burke, Ben E. King, Percy Sledge, Eddie Floyd, Rufus & Carla Thomas, Bo Diddley, Buster Poindexter, Uptown Horns, Paul Rodgers, Wynonna Judd, and David Foster.

Appearances: Carnegie Hall (featured soloist with the Rock Concerto), Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize (with Cracked Ice led by Crispin Cioe), “Rock of Ages,” “Spider-Man,” and “Kinky Boots” on Broadway, Obama Inaugural Ball, Barry Levinson documentary “Poliwood,” Conan O’Brien, Craig Ferguson, Today Show, Emeril Live, Imus in the Morning, Charlie Rose, Regis & Kelly, New Orleans Jazz Fest, many Symphony Orchestras.

Magna Cum Laude Berklee College of Music grad, NY Blues Hall of Fame inductee. Traveled to 27 countries. Played to audiences of up to 82,000. From Chattanooga, TN, now based in NYC.

Studio and live musician, Ivan Bodley, is a creative and versatile bassist, performer, producer, musical director, composer, arranger, vocalist, and instructor with diverse music industry experience. He has performed on electric, fretted, fretless, four-string, five-string, and acoustic basses. Ivan has solid professional experience in diverse musical genres from hip-hop to bebop. Recording services are provided in person or via email from his home studio. In addition to being a bass principal, Ivan has also doubled professionally on vocals, guitar, keyboards, and percussion.
