Freelance Professional Trombonist/Low Brass Instrumentalist/Bandleader and Musicians' Contractor
Frank Pedulla having expert sight-reading and transposing skills, born and residing in New York, performing various styles and genres of music throughout the New York City area and New England States.
His love for music began when he was a very young child, from hearing and watching his uncle playing the accordion. Later, in first grade General Music class, Frank was able to recognize and identify the various timbres (tone colors) of the various orchestral instruments on classical music recordings.
Playing professionally since the age of fourteen, Frank also performs as a featured soloist with numerous concert bands and symphony orchestras on both Trombone and Euphonium (Baritone Horn). He has played under the Musical direction of such world renown maestri as Leonard Bernstein, Sixten Ehrling, James DePriest, Anton Coppola, Laszlo Halaz, George Mester, George Manahan, Jesse Levine, Salvatore DeVittorio, Per Brevig, Tony Morrse, JoAnn Falletta, Diane Wittry, Dean Karahalis, etc.
Frank has also substituted in the orchestra for the shows "Miss Saigon" and "Wonderful Town" (actually playing the entire show on the stage on Broadway), and in the pit orchestras for international tours of the Broadway Shows "Brigadoon" and "Cabaret" (reduced six piece orchestras, having transposed other instrumental parts, in addition to playing all of the essential Trombone music).
