David Finck is among the most sought after musicians in New York. His bass playing can be heard on more than 250 CDs including Multi platinum, Gold, and Grammy winners.
A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, he has been the bassist of choice for among others: Andre Previn, Hank Jones, Kenny Rankin, Linda Eder, Woody Herman, Rosemary Clooney, Vic Damone and Steve Kuhn. David has recorded with: George Michael, Gladys Knight, Rod Stewart, Natalie Cole, and Rosemary Clooney. In 2008 he released his highly acclaimed CD: 'Future Day' (Soundbrush) . And in 2017, his latest recording: ‘Low Standards’ (Soundbrush). David is an accomplished songwriter and producer.
He has produced CDs for Tom Wopat, John Basile, janis Martin, Carol Fredette and Christy Baron. His 1991 article for the Village Voice led to a contribution to the book: Frank Sinatra; The Man, The Music, The Legend. (University of Rochester Press)
