Bio

New to New York as of January 2016, Conor is completing his Masters of Music Performance in Jazz and beginning a new phase of his career. An American drummer raised in Toronto Canada, Conor began to establish himself on the Toronto scene by being a featured rising talent showcased on 91.1 FM Jazzology program and winning the citywide Whiplash drum competition. He held down a weekly jazz/hip hop gig in Toronto from 2014 to 2016. He continues to develop his talent and is ready to enter a larger performance arena.

Conor leads his own group and is a member of the Vivi Hu Quartet (blending jazz, contemporary and Asian music) and a member of Gamelan Yowana SariĀ .

Recent shows have included performances at The Jazz Gallery, Brooklyn Raga Massive, Bernie Wohl Center for the Arts and various jazz clubs around town.

Comfortable in a wide range of styles Conor plays jazz, hip hop, funk, R&B, latin and world music as well as lending his talents in musical theater and artist accompaniment.

Conor currently teaches group percussion at YWCA and teaches private lessons at all levels.

Previous bookings include small ensemble club dates in jazz and hip hop, New Orleans Brass band for corporate parties (Hilton Hotel/Royal Bank of Canada), automobile launches (Lincoln Motors), Great Gatsby Summer Party (Spadina Museum), Bravo Academy of Music (pit bands and sound effects) as well as numerous standard jazz trio/quartets for weddings and private parties and participating in Make Music New York with Gamelan Yowana Sari.
