Bio

Ashlyn Olson, violinist, has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player throughout the United States. Originally from Connecticut, she began her musical studies on violin and piano at the age of 4. She completed her Master's degree at DePaul University in 2014 and her Certificate in Performance in 2016 where she studied with Ilya Kaler. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in string performance. Also an accomplished violist, Ashlyn founded and performs with the Pavo Quartet. The string quartet was a finalist in the Plowman Chamber Music Competition in 2015 and has performed internationally as well as throughout the United States.

An avid teacher and coach, Ashlyn has received training from the Hartt School of Music and DePaul Community Division in the Suzuki method. She currently maintains a private violin studio in New York City. She has coached at the ArtsAhimsa Chamber Music Festival in Lenox, MA for four summers as well as numerous other chamber music festivals.
