Bio

New York resident, Alexia DelGiudice Bigari, has received her masters degree in viola performance from Northwestern University, as well as a bachelors degree from The Juilliard School. In February 2017, Alexia debuted as viola soloist performing the Hoffmeister Viola Concerto with the Northwestern University Baroque Ensemble. Her past teachers include Helen Callus, Heidi Castleman, Misha Amory, and Hsin Yun Huang.

Alexia is currently playing with dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, MidAtlantic Orchestra, Adelphi Orchestra, Narnia Festival Orchestra in Italy, and New York City Opera. She feels so lucky to have played in so many Opera productions as well as symphonic, as her mother is an opera singer. She joined the Local802 during her contract with NYC Opera, and is very excited for her life as a musician in New York.
